I have installed vmware workstation from AUR and i only use VMware Player. I deployed a VM but while trying to connect network adapter i get:
Could not connect 'Ethernet0' to virtual network 'dev/vmnet0'.

Ok, i got it:
/etc/vmware/networking file is missing. Even if you create it by yourself it will give you an error, because vmnet* process is not initialized, the solution is to start service (systemctl start vmware-networks.service)
I hope this gets added to the wiki article.

Why not add it yourself? It is a wiki.
