My trackpad is glitchy on Gnome shell and every other Linux DE I try. Basically, sometimes it won't move at all when I run my finger across it or it will stop moving mid-swipe, usually when I change directions. This doesn't last long, but it makes using it pretty glitchy. This problem doesn't seem to arise on the Windows 10 install that came with the laptop.
I only have libinput and the x wrapper for it installed, not synaptic. It happens on X as well as with Gnome on Wayland. I tried blacklisting the psmouse module on the wiki page for this laptop model, and it doesn't make a difference here.
