compiling custom edid

I have a 1920x1200 monitor and using mobo graphics that aren't playing nice...
During the boot sequence, the monitor goes blank because of KMS choosing an unsupported video mode.
I've tried kernel command line parameters vga=810 nomodeset but they aren't working properly with efi boot.
At this point I'm trying to generate an EDID bin file to use.
I was able to use Entech MonInfo on my windows laptop to extract the monitor information.
Can I use the MonInfo raw data as the edid.bin file?  If not, I could use some help with the EDID.S files settings.
