[Mac] Not suspending when I close the lid on the login screen

My computer is super inconsistent with suspending when I close it.  If I'm on the login screen, it never suspends when I close the lid, and sometimes it happens when I'm logged in.  I did `journalctl -f` and I can see it registering that the lid is opening/closing but I'm not sure what I can do with that info bc I'm super new to this.

There ought to be some actual errors in logs. Post the full journal output from when you close the lid.
Does suspending manually with 'systemctl suspend' work?
