dell_smbios on non-Dell system, everything still working atm

Whenever i boot i get this message (from dmesg):

[ 2.335088] dell_smbios: Unable to run on non-Dell system
[ 2.375561] snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: Failed to find dell wmi symbol dell_micmute_led_set

It occured right after updating with

pacman -Syu

When running

systemctl --failed

there is nothing listed.

There is also something about 'protocol didnt stop' when using shutdown right at the end after watchdog exits (dont know how to get to the log file and only flashes for a fraction of a second)

Im using systemd boot with sddm and Plasma 5. For graphics drivers i use bumblebee with official intel and nvidia drivers.

I have no idea where the 'dell-error' comes from since i was really careful with the installation and only installed what was necessary to run KDE (i think so atleast).

Im also attaching the important part from the /var/logpacman.log file.

Re: dell_smbios on non-Dell system, everything still working atm

You can read up about it and determine if you need it. If not, blacklist it and the error will not appear.

You can also check if it was loaded as a dependency of another module:

awk '$4 ~ /dell_smbios/ { print $1; }' /proc/modules
