I have a vivoPC. Lately, it appears that the fan is always on. Here is the output from
sensors

So it seems that my CPUs are running hot?? I'm puzzled as to why this should be, as running
top
doesn't seem to show anything CPU intensive going on.
Could it be a hardware problem?

Did you check for dust build-up in the heatsink/fan?
how about /proc/loadavg?

Thanks guys. I know zilch about hardware. I dismantled my PC and blew some compressed air into it. The internals seemed fairly clean, although there was some dust flying out from a fan. I think one of connectors for some unit worked itself loose.
Upon reassembling, the device seems to work fine. Phew! Core 0 and 1 are at 48oC, with no fan spinning.
So it looks like the problem is sorted.
