KDE plasma 5.12 custom fonts for GTK applications

The KDE Plasma 5.12 release features an 'unified look' through all apps (Qt and GTK). This means all of them use the Noto fonts, and this works out of the box.

However, I like to set all my fonts to Liberation Sans 9, and previously (<5.12) I could define fonts for GTK apps in a separate dialog under 'Application Style'.
But this dialog is now missing, and now I end with Liberation fonts for Qt (changed through the Fonts menu), and Noto fonts for all the GTK applications (which cannot be modified).

Is there a way to force KDE to use the defined custom fonts also for GTK?

Just install kde-gtk-config and all neccessary settings you find in: systemsettings -> Application Style -> GNOME Application Style/GTK Applications (including settings for fonts in those apps).
