SD card does not show up.

Hi!

I have got an old 512mb SD card from a friend who asked me if i could recover her photos (her husband died, and maybe there are a couple photos on the card from him) from it. After i put it in my laptop arch can't recognize it.
Here is an output from dmesg:

<krisztian@habarch>$ ~ dmesg | tail

As you see it is not recognized:

A tried it also with an external card reader, same problem. Im sure the SD card has some faulty behavior, but i want to know if it can be fixed or not. Sorry for my english smile. I would appreciate a little help, thanks in advance
