Weird patterns on screen when idle

Since the updates that happened with KDE a few weeks ago, I've been having weird things happen on my screen when left idle for 1-2 minutes.  If I'm just at the desktop, then after a couple of minutes I'll have some random pinstripe-like design appear on my screen, almost like a screen saver.  If my screen saver is active (if I've locked the computer), then after a couple of minutes of the screen saver running, the screen just gives me a blank, black screen.  As soon as I move the mouse or press a key, this stuff goes away.  How can I make this stop happening?

Is anybody else having this problem at all, or know why I have it?  It' still happening even with the new KDE package releases.

Don't you have any fishy stuff in screensaver settings in KControl? Or perhaps it is something connected with xscreensaver?

Re: Weird patterns on screen when idle

I don't have anything odd in KControl regarding my screen saver.  I'll try uninstalling xscreensaver and see if it helps.
