I did a quick search this morning for any new articles online about Arch (to add to the wiki - I will not be adding this one, obviously), and to my utter dismay, this article appeared. The article, or rather a 'review', is extremely positive about Arch, however, there are so many factual inaccuracies (not to mention spelling and grammatical errors) in it, that I was asking myself how this article even came to be, especially from a supposed 'tech' site. In any case, I submit this horror to you all, if for nothing else than a laugh.

Arch Linux, the most exciting thing since Linus created Linux and married it with GNU/GPL.

If it bothers you so much, why not leave a comment explaining the problems?
The author may even be grateful

Indeed, good point, and I've been mulling over exactly how to word such feedback. I do't think that the author wrote it with ill intent, rather a lack of practical experience, or even research.

Yay, another "badly written good publicity" (I believe that is always worse than just bad publicity).
It's tempting to respond to that kind of stuff, but I have found the majority of "blog articles" and "reviews" and other personal praise-statements on Arch Linux to fall into that category¹, so it's just something you have to live with, I think.
___
¹ Examples include statements like: "Arch Linux is great because..."
"... you have a huge selection of packages thanks to the AUR!"
"... it's bleeding edge and you get all up-to-date packages immediately!"
"... it's flexible and allows you to configure your system exactly the way you want!"
"... it's not bloated because you can just install a lightweight WM like i3!"
edit: ... actually, now I'm tempted to start listing things for an "all-the-wrong-reasons bingo".
edit2: oh, uhm... "trigger alert" for that list, I guess

Speaking of personal praise...
Arch Linux is great because you get to install packages that I built.
There now. Try to argue with that.

That is easy to argue against. You also get to install packages that I built...

As with some of these other sites, there's likely a severe language barrier here. He may have used "compiled" in the sense an established speaker would use "assembled", for example.
Anyway, not sure why we should care. The proficient user that Arch is aimed at will make their own judgement by looking at documents hosted on archlinux.org, not a blog on the internet.
run for the hills!
