When something starts to play, or stops i hear *pop*, which is veeeery annoying. Using aplay to play null or zero doesnt help. I am using pulseaudio.

You could try to comment "load-module module-suspend-on-idle" in '/etc/pulse/default.pa' and/or '/etc/pulse/system.pa' and see if it makes any difference. Another thing I can think of is that for your hardware maybe some driver needs to be told to use a special quirk, apart from this there is nothing else I can think of right now.

Another thing I can think of is that for your hardware maybe some driver needs to be told to use a special quirk, apart from this there is nothing else I can think of right now.
