KWIN XWayland display dpi

I cannot seem to find out how to change the settings of the XWayland server that is automatically started when starting KDE under wayland.  The XWayland server starts at the default 96 dpi, which does not work on high dpi screens. 

I tried changing the standard Xorg.conf files to change the settings, but these seem to have no effect for the XWayland server.

Does anyone know how the set the settings for the XWayland server?

I think it is not implemented yet, at least thats what I understood from bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389191
