[SOLVED] GNOME Files (nautilus) 3.26.2 Drag-n-Drop / selecting files

I discovered, that in GNOME Files (nautilus) 3.26.2 draging and dropping or selecting multiple files with shift and arrow keys in not working, when I am not using list view (my default). What happens instead is that I select multiple files, when I want to e.g. drag-n-drop. In list view everything works as expected. Thus, I assume this is not a weird GNOME feature but possibly a bug. I could not find a recent bug report on this.
Does anybody else experience this?

I'm not sure if I understood the unexpected behavior correctly, but both drag-and-dropping and selecting files with shift+arrows work for me in both views.

Can you reproduce the issue with newly created user/empty configuration?

same here
selctions with contol-click work but i'm unable to drag in icon view.

Have you by any chance enabled the experimental views in Nautilus' settings? In the experimental views in Nautilus 3.26 drag'n'drop is not yet implemented, and what you see is the default selection behavior of a Gtk list view.

I currently don't know what the state of those views is in Nautilus 3.28, but it would be awesome if they are ready now or at least more mature.

experimental views disabled, all ok now.
