xfce4 terminal not starting after upgrade[SOLVED]

I was using xfce terminal fine before update. After the upgrade , I cant launch the terminal.Here is the output of the command `xfce4-terminal` :-

xfce4-terminal: symbol lookup error: xfce4-terminal: undefined symbol: vte_terminal_set_bold_is_bright

Is this a new bug or due to my old configuration files ?? Is anyone else facing this problem too ??

I am using xfce desktop environment

my system information:-

Kernel: x86_64 Linux 4.15.15-1-ck-nehalem
Uptime: 20m
Packages: 1028
Shell: bash 4.4.19
Resolution: 1366x768
DE: XFCE4    WM: Xfwm4

Font: Noto Sans 10

And if you have the "same" problem, then don't you think the "same" question would apply to you.  If you want to help find a solution, answer the question.

I'd guess the answer is one of the vte3-ng or other vte aur packages as this exact error was just covered in another thread.

Installing vte3 (thus uninstalling vte3-ng) fixed this problem for me.
