[SOLVED] GNOME 3.28 Firefox Thunderbird "Natural Scrolling"

After upgrading GNOME to version 3.28, the two Mozilla apps I use, Firefox (extra/firefox 59.0.2-2) and Thunderbird (extra/thunderbird 52.7.0-2) ignore the GNOME "natural scrolling" setting (with both my latop touchpad and a USB-connected conventional mouse). I have searched the forums and the duck-duck-go for clues. I have disabled my default firefox profile. I have searched "about:config" for a clue, all to no avail.

Do you have any thoughts on how to coerce these two "errant" Mozilla apps to scroll like the rest of my window'd apps?

Thanks!

Edit:

After visiting this again several months later I discovered the trick: launch firefox and thunderbird with MOZ_USE_XINPUT2=1

You can also set the firefox / thunderbird configuration parameter dom.w3c_touch_events.enabled to 1

Here's the reference I used: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/250 … op-browser
