Resume from sleep/hibernate with the sound muted

Hi,
I'm trying to mute the sound when the laptop resumes from sleep/hibernate with no success.
I tried the systemd service file method as my user or root with the command "amixer set Master mute", but I get:

ALSA lib pulse.c:243:(pulse_connect) PulseAudio: Unable to connect: Connection refused
amixer[6574]: amixer: Mixer attach default error: Connection refused

fyi this command works OK in console.

Anyone know how to fix this?
