I use i3wm (not gaps), with i3blocks for the statusbar. It has served me very well, except for the time. I rely on my clocks being accurate to the second, for various reasons. With the time block set, it runs using the date command and updates every second. My problem is that this creates an offset because the statusbar itself does not sync with the software clock when starting up. I tried setting the interval to continuous, but that used for too much CPU to be a viable option. Does anybody know how to make the statusbar sync with the software clock for accurate seconds?
Learning Dvorak was entirely worth it, solely because of the looks on people’s faces when they borrow my computers.
