I've currently got an old x64 netbook hooked up to a Pi 2 running an XDMCP server to try and free up more of the resources on the old thing to process DRM'ed streaming video. While this setup is mostly working now, mate-screensaver seems to be having some issues returning to the session.
ps ux on pi
ps ux on eee
LightDM Configs
Running xdriinfo on the machines with appropriately exported $DISPLAY vars shows the i915 driver as in use but the only thing I've found from redirecting stderr is are libGL errors saying that it failed to load the i915 driver and to "open drm device" with a no such file/directory error. Additonally "lock screen when screensaver is active" is disabled.
I've been asking around for several hours to no avail so I'm leaving these links to the existing threads I've made for this issue elsewhere. They don't seem to be getting much love so any help is appreciated, even if it's just increasing the visibility for em even if you don't happen to know the fix yourself.
