Naga Hex button configuration

Hey there

Got a naga hex v2, my google-fu has failed me, so i would just like some pointers to where to look on how to configure some of the buttons on the side as back and forward buttons.

Appreciate any help provided.

Have you looked into xinput?

I tried following the xinput instructions as described in the wiki, but the section about the udev rules says it's out of date as the method described doesn't work anymore. I tried the xbindkeys method, but that doesn't seem to work on the buttons along the side of the naga hex, it only works on the face buttons and wheel.
