Hi,
I've installed arch on an intel NUC7i5BNK, and while most things are working cleanly right away, fan control is missing, and the fan is constantly running. The wiki page for NUC (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Intel_NUC) has no mention of issues with fan control, so I guess there is hardware support.

Some systems (mainly servers) implement IPMI, a set of common interfaces
through which system health data may be retrieved, amongst other things.
