Intel Wifi AC-8265 breaks with kernel 4.16.2

After installing kernel 4.16.2, AC-8265 no longer works. Tried both with iwlwifi-8265-34.ucode (present in linux-firmware package) and iwlwifi-8265-36.ucode (from here). Downgrading to 4.15.15 fixes the issue for both firmwares.

These are the errors I'm getting from 4.16.2. Google turns out unrelated stuff, at least to my limited understanding. Any ideas on what to do?
