Hi guys,
I am struggling trying to configure GDM NOT to auto-suspend while showing the login screen. I followed the instruction in the Arch Wiki [1] to no avail.
$ sudo -u gdm dbus-launch gsettings get org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power sleep-inactive-ac-type
No protocol specified
'nothing'I don't know why but dbus-launch always gives the "No protocol specified" warning. Even if the gsettings command gives 'nothing' as result the system suspends while on login screen. I also set sleep-inactive-battery-type to 'nothing' but the outcome is the same. Any hint?

same here but only with 4.16.x kernel
auto suspend very aggressive (every time i move the cursor or press a key)
and same result from gsetting command

As a temporary fix I login and lock the screen but it's far from being a solution.

Very agressive to say the least. Seems like it only waits a minute before going in to suspend.
However, those instructions do work for me. I simply ignore that 'No protocol specified' message. I can't think of a situation in which I've used dbus-launch and did not get that message.

yes is a kernel problem.
few time i can make login but the problem persist in desktop enviroment.
