Cannot get LightDM to work [SOLVED]

Hi, I was originally using the GDM until I saw this LightDM theme. I followed the Arch Wiki on how to install LightDM, and also that github installation guide. I disabled the gdm.service and enabled lightdm.service, but I cannot get it to work.

sudo systemctl status lightdm

gives:

● lightdm.service - Light Display Manager
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/lightdm.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
   Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Tue 2018-04-24 19:01:34 NZST; 4min 19s ago
     Docs: man:lightdm(1)
  Process: 3022 ExecStart=/usr/bin/lightdm (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)
 Main PID: 3022 (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)

Apr 24 19:01:34 Caeruleas systemd[1]: Stopped Light Display Manager.

Apr 24 19:01:34 Caeruleas systemd[1]: Failed to start Light Display Manager.

Did I miss something in the installation guide? Am I enabling the wrong service? Please help, this theme looks really cool in my opinion.

Re: Cannot get LightDM to work [SOLVED]

Post your lightdm.conf, did you configure the webkit2 greeter? Be also aware of the latest comments on https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ligh … 2-greeter/ which state that this might not be working currently.

Re: Cannot get LightDM to work [SOLVED]

After a restart, the LightDM showed up with the greeter theme, but a dialog box popped up as well.

An error was detected in the current theme that could interfere with the system login process.

There were three options to choose:

Load Default theme
Load Fallback theme
Cancel

Since I didn't know what to do, I just chose "Cancel," and the DM went prefectly normal. I went to the settings and changed the theme, then went I clicked save the dialog box appeared again.
I'm happy that LightDM is working, but is there any way to fix it so that it  doesn't show that message every time I boot up my computer?

If you switch to the lightdm-gtk-greeter does the message still appear?

No the message doesn't appear on the gtk theme. I tried switching back to the webkit2 theme and restarted but the message appears again.

Re: Cannot get LightDM to work [SOLVED]

Since it still wasn't working, I tried the material2 theme, and no dialog box appeared. Maybe it has something to do with the original theme being abandoned? Anyways I'm marking this as SOLVED.
