My xfce4 terminal and i3bar an everything (except firefox, thankfully) keeps flikering I tried everything under the sun with the configs and I attempted to compile the sources (with failure, I can't be assed when I cant see the output half the time). Here is the logs and config files
i3 config: https://paste.pound-python.org/show/Zbs … rihHpOg5C/
20-radeon-config: https://paste.pound-python.org/show/ixE … xSHqJaj9K/
10-monitor-config: https://paste.pound-python.org/show/ijf … blmeNdA47/
compton config: https://paste.pound-python.org/show/Xmn … 7huPSoxvOZ
dmesg: https://paste.pound-python.org/show/qZ6 … YOF3AwWLZ/
xorg.log https://paste.pound-python.org/show/FPk … ZFDaM1ynN/
This is getting unbelivably irritating.
I have a Radeon 5450 PCIe card with two monitors

Opening i3 on root does not have this problem.
I wish I could show you what is happening. (it blinks when I input a mouse or key)
(why did I ever thought about switching back from gentoo. I accdently corruped my partition trying to resize it so I'm stuck with this.)
okay: here is a short video of my problem. http://www.filedropper.com/save-my-soul … 5-09000221

Am I lost on this issue?

I found out it is just compton. That's fine I dont need transparency anyways. Do you guys have a solution?

If opening it on root does not have this problem then it's something you are configuring on your normal user, those fadeouts in the compton config look suspicious what if you try without?

What's up with that compton.conf? There's a lot of missing stuff there. Also why are you using the hybrid backend? Not much of a reason to if the radeon driver is loaded and working, just use glx. There's a bug in the current mesa version (should be fixed soon) that makes compton flip with terminals. For now launching it as
allow_rgb10_configs=false compton
fixes it. Not sure if it applies to your particular issue. Also, take a look at my compton.conf (I have a similar gpu) for comparison: https://pastebin.com/pHxzyDP2
