[SOLVED] What is qemu-lite?

What is qemu-lite? And how does it differ from qemu?

I stumbled upon seeing the following file path in a configuration file while playing around with compiling/installing kata-containers:
- The file: /usr/bin/qemu-lite-system-x86_64
- kata-containers: https://github.com/kata-containers/docu … r-Guide.md

qemu-lite exists in AUR, but the description only says "QEMU with pc-lite system", and I have no idea what pc-lite is either.

I've tried searching for both "qemu-lite" and "pc-lite" on the Internet but I haven't fond any explanation anywhere.

I think the poor description of the AUR package stems from the lack of a concise description of the qemu-lite project itself. But as best as I can tell, it's qemu "optimized" for speed and small footprint.

You might also see this from kata-containers.
