emacs php-mode missing php-project.el

After the last update php-mode for emacs was no longer functional:
  emacs 26.1-1
  emacs-php-mode 1.19.1-1

When trying to enable php-mode the error message
 

File mode specification error: (file-missing Cannot open load file No such file or directory php-project)

was displayed. Downloading the software package https://github.com/ejmr/php-mode/archive/v1.19.1.tar.gz and copying the contained file php-project.el to /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/php-mode/skeleton solved the problem but is obviously just a workaround.

Has anyone similar problems?
