Setting GTK font size

Using i3 and lxappearance to set the GTK theme, cursor theme, icons etc. However I can't seem to be able to set the GTK font size which now is massively enlarged. How can I reduce it?

HiDPI issue?

The screenshot actually looks ok for a 160dpi screen.
Do you mind the font size or the weight ("fatness")

Is this gtk2 or gtk3 (or are both affected)?
