This is on a recent install and my first time trying to use KDE in some time (I think KDE4 was the last time I used it), so I'm a little rusty on it.
I have two issues with black screens.
First, ever since the update from Plasma 5.13.0 to 5.13.1, I get a blank (black) screen when I try to start a Plasma Wayland session through SDDM. I was able to start Plasma Wayland sessions with 5.13.0. Starting a normal Plasma session with X still works fine. I'm not entirely sure where to find a log of this situation.
Second, when the screen is shut off for power saving due to inactivity, I get a blank (black) screen upon the screen turning back on. The screen *does* power back on appropriately with mouse or keyboard activity, but nothing is visible in the X session. I don't see any log entries made at the time of screen off to back on in dmesg or Xorg.0.log -- no errors or seemingly relevant warnings there either, though I'm happy to provide them if requested.
GPU: Vega 56 with open source AMDGPU drivers.
