Cinnamon using too much disk

I noted something odd with my arch linux box. Using the gnome system monitor show that cinnamon is consuming a lot of my disk, any idea of what might be causing it?

It's not "consuming" your disk, those columns refer to IO - it's reading and writing a lot, though. Check

ls -l /proc /`pidof cinnamon`/fd/

to see what files it has open. This could be some tmpfs file as SHM backend or some such.

Yeah, that's what I meant. I've rebooted my pc and it's normal now(350 mb read, 160 kb write after 6 hours). If the problem appear again I'll post the update here
