I've installed Arch today.
- Default install
- xorg, plasma, firefox, liberation-ttf, noto-fonts and noto-fonts-cjk installed
All good except firefox use only 'Hack' font when page css style is sans-serif or serif.
It's Preferences of font dialog show 'Default(Hack)'.
Hack font pkg is dependency of 'plasma-integration' pkg.
So I've tested in terminal.
a@a ~> fc-match sans-serif
Hack-Regular.ttf: "Hack" "Regular"
a@a ~> fc-match serif
Hack-Regular.ttf: "Hack" "Regular"
a@a ~> fc-match monospace
Hack-Regular.ttf: "Hack" "Regular"
a@a ~>Is that normal situation without customized ~/.config/fontconfig/fonts.conf ?
Thanks for any advice.

I have the same issue.

OP doesn't actually seem to have an issue. See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fo … ault_fonts on how to select usable variants.
You can also symlink /etc/fonts/conf.avail/66-noto-* into /etc/fonts/conf.d/ - it's default absence (next to the DejaVu fonts) likely explains the condition.
