systemd-udevd stuck in perpetual disk sleep

As the title says, for some reason systemd-udevd is stuck in perpetual disk sleep. All mounted disks seem to be functioning fine and in fact everything seems to be otherwise working.

With the udev log level set to debug as described in the wiki, I get this (among lots of other fluff):

lspci has this to say:

But I'm not even sure what that is, and I'm not having much luck with search results. I also can't seem to find out what the "/devices/system/cpu/cpuN" bit is about.
I've tried rebuilding the initramfs, but no change.

I'm at a loss as to what is going on here, and I've exhausted all the avenues I've thought of. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Thanks, I hadn't seen that. I was getting freezes before, and I updated the BIOS about a week ago and I haven't had any since then.
I'm still getting this behavior from udev though. Come to think of it, I'm not sure I was getting it before the BIOS update.

I'm facing this issue also, but only when I power off. Running stock kernel, also I didn't have it before I update my BIOS just a few days ago.

I have a Ryzen 7 1700X, Motherboard ASRock Pro4 with latest BIOS version 5.00, in my case it hangs for a while, when checking journalctl I have the same errors as OP, but TTY shows the error messages below... in my case, I don't have any problems while using the PC, just a 2-3 minutes freeze when I'm shutting down.

Edit:
This is what is shown on TTY, it hangs with it for like 3-4 minutes before it turns off

I downgraded to 4.90 and the freezes went away for me. Asrock AB350 Pro4, Ryzen 2700x

For now I compiled the kernel with the option mentioned in the link above, it solves the problem, gonna stick with it until it gets solved in stock kernel

Edit: Apparently the problem has been solved in the last kernel update ( 4.18.10 ), at least my last reboots do not hang the pc.
