Font rendering crashed -- where to start debug?

Hi!

In the middle of some configuring, my fonts suddenly went from being rendered correctly, to being rendered like this:

STqBlxM

The problem is, I have no idea where to start debugging. Have my configuring changed something? Did the graphics driver all of a sudden go bad?

All help much appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: I'm not sure if the image is rendering correctly, the url for it is https://imgur.com/a/STqBlxM.

Well, it's possible that "some configuring" broke your fonts or font rendering. Can you share with us exactly what you did (post commands and output)? That will help us help you.

It seems like I've managed to completely mess up my fonts, either through some symbolic links or copying or something. I think I need to have a sit down and try to learn how fonts are handled in Arch.
