Libinput incorrect mapping

Graphical tablet (xp pen g640) can follow the location of the pen - but instead of registering the pen as a stylus or as LIBINPUT_EVENT_TABLET_TOOL_TIP, it registers it as a side button. How do I remap this side button as a mouse click?
