Hello guys, I hope everybody had a good day,
today I noticed a that when I launch discord-canary in my i3 window manager, a weird icon appears at the right of my polybar, I don't know how to prevent it from automatically adding itself to my bar.
I hope somebody can tell me what to do to solve this problem because I don't even know what to google to find a solution, I don't think it's a really common problem. It may be practical for some people in fact but for me it's just trash and would delete it.
Here is a screenshot for you to see the problem: https://imgur.com/a/P2eVMXP?
Thanks for reading guys

That's called a tray icon or notification icon. If Discord doesn't have an option, you could try to convince your... polybar... not to display tray icons at all. No clue what a polybar is, though.

Like Awebb said, it'a a tray icon. You can hide the tray by setting it's position to empty in the polybar config. From the polybar configuration wiki
; Position of the system tray window
; If empty or undefined, tray support will be disabled
; NOTE: A center aligned tray will cover center aligned modules
;
; Available positions:
; left
; center
; right
