I spent some time looking for the 32-bit version of pcsxr before finding it had been removed from the [multilib] repository this past March. I couldn't find the reason, though, and I'm wondering if I'm missing something obvious.

That makes sense. The problem is that the 32-bit version is the only one compatible with most of the (closed-source) plugins, so on 64-bit systems the AUR version is less functional than the one previously in [multilib]. The wiki still recommends installing that one, so either that page should be changed or (in a perfect world) the [multilib] package should be adopted and restored.

It was dropped to the AUR as a multilib package. The new maintainer screwed it all up.

I guess you could start maintaining a bin32-pcsxr package (maybe even for the pgxp fork) if the new maintainer doesn't want to support multilib.
By the way, are you aware, that mednafen and its libretro-beetle-psx fork for e.g. retroarch are in [community]? These seem to be recommended in the gametech emulation wiki.

I'm not nearly knowledgeable enough to take on maintaining the package, so that'll have to either a while or be picked up by someone else. I appreciate the clarification on what's going on here. though, and confirmation that I'm not being especially dense.

Standalone mednafen doesn't have internal resolution options and retroarch's interface makes me feel like I'm going crazy, which are both personal quirks; I understand those emulators are generally preferable to pcsxr, though.
