Firefox displays wrong font style for Monospace!

My default system Monospace font is Operator Mono SSm Book (set globally in local.conf)

$ fc-match "monospace"
OperatorMonoSSm-Book.otf: "Operator Mono SSm" "Book"

However Firefox, displays Monospace content with the bold variant instead!

See Image below:

For some reason, if I look for the font family via fc-match it return the bold version:

$ fc-match OperatorMonoSSm
OperatorMonoSSm-Bold.otf: "Operator Mono SSm" "Bold"

Any tips to have Firefox show the text with system default non-bold style?

Chromium, for example does not have this issue.

Thanks!

Re: Firefox displays wrong font style for Monospace!

Have you tried changing the fonts in the Firefox config?  Maybe setting it there will override the system-wide fontconfig settings.
