Short repeating lags/freezes of Cinnamon DE on T460p

Hello,

I'm long-time user of Arch and now I have an issue that I don't know how to solve. My system is Lenovo T460p with Core i7-6700HQ and GeForce 940MX (nvidia driver as I need CUDA, but GPU is normaly switched off using bumblebee), 16GB RAM, SSD. I use Cinnamon, but I don't know if my issue directly related to this desktop enviroment. Arch is fully updated and I know about this for a longer time (so it was not some of recent kernel updates or such).
My problem is that the whole system randomly freezes for very short time (~1s). It happens about once or twice a minute and I notice it most often when I'm writing, because this lag usually ends with doubling of written letter. I haven't noticed any higher activity of CPU, it happens when there  are just a few applications running (browser, terminal, ...) and I have uncertain feeling that it is getting worse with the time.

Can  someone point me to the right direction how to investigate and ideally get rid of this issue?

I will blame it on on the de or the graphics server.

Try out gnome on wayland if you are on x or the other way around if you already use wayland.

Btw do you use the lowlatency kernel? If you are you might consider switching to the lts version of the kernel.
