I have a problem. Errors are displayed on my xscreensaver when I locked my screen. How could I fix this problem?
My desktop environment is LXDE and LXDM.
Thank you.

The error is pretty clear. Either adjust your config to specify a font you'd prefer, or install fonts that'd provide helvetica.

Thank you for your advice. I could fix some errors by installing adobe-base-14-fonts. Probably, there isn't Courier too. I couldn't fix it yet but It's same cause, right? Anyway, I was helped. Thank you very much.

I have same problem, but solved this:
Edit hidden file in home directory:
~/.xscreensaver
Change the option:
captureStderr: True
to
captureStderr: False
and
overlayStderr: True
to
overlayStderr: False
Save file then reboot my pc and not show problem, (my desktop environment xfce)

That's not a solution. You've a broken font config for xscreensaver and "fixed" it by suppressing the warning about that.
Ie. you did https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddPQAJSm2cQ

Thank you for your comment. But, what should I do?

Please do not delete your posts, strike them, if you want.
Now the thread has a logic gap.
If you get the same error as comment #1, you lack some fonts, so installing them should be a rational move, no?
https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?q=xorg-fonts
at least one of the *dpi packages, perhaps the misc one.

Hmm, I already have xorg-fonts. And I installed some fonts. But, the below error doesn't disappear. Do you guys know a font that includes courier?
xscreensaver: unable to find any alternatives to "-*-courier-medium-r-*-*-*-140-*-*-*-iso8859-1"
Thank you.

There's no package "xorg-fonts"…
Let's see:
pacman -Qs xorg-fonts

I noticed that you mean now. I didn't have some font packages. The problem has resolved completely.
I ran this command.
sudo pacman -S xorg-fonts-100dpi xorg-fonts-75dpi xorg-fonts-alias xorg-fonts-cyrillic xorg-fonts-encodings xorg-fonts-misc xorg-fonts-type1
Thank you, seth.
