Hello Community,
after yesterdays update the folder icons used by xfdesktop or the xfce4-places-plugin are not matching the remaining icon theme any more. This is how it looks like: https://imgur.com/66hE11B As you can see, the icons inside Thunar are fine (it's the Faenza icon theme) while the icons on the desktop are wrong.
As far as I can see, the icon "folder-symbolic" is being used here: https://imgur.com/Y02dupj
This is what has been updated yesterday: https://pastebin.com/7jL4WvGY I cannot see anything Xfce or Faenza related, the only Xfce related package seems to be Tumbler, but this should not be involved in folder icons, only thumbnail previews...
Thanks for any input on how to further diagnose the problem!

The very worst thing you can do with free software is to download it, see that it doesn't work for some reason, leave it, and tell your friends that it doesn't work. - Tuomas Lukka

It's an issue with the recent glib2 upgrade. See: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=240264, https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14685 & https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/issues/1513.
To confirm, temporarily downgrading glib2 restores GIcon functionality.

Thanks, that was it! Waiting for glib2 2.58.1 to be released and hit the Arch repos!
