[Solved] GLX and intel, some issues

Hey there,

I've recently installed archlinux on a Lenovo T480 and I have an issue with compton and webkit2 greeter. First, when I try to launch compton, I get this fancy message:

[     0.00 ] error    2 BadValue     request  151 minor    3 serial     37: "BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)"
glx_init(): Failed to get GLX context.

So I've try to launch a glxinfo command and there is the output:

name of display: :0

So again, there is an issue with glx.

For webkit2-greeter, when I try to launch it, I get this (the file is : "/home/user/.cache/lightdm/log/seat0-greeter.log"):

Last but not least think, I'm new to this forum so I'm not quite sure if I'm on the right place to ask this question.

Post the output of "xdpyinfo" and your Xorg log, please.
Hint: a closer look at them might even tell you what's wrong.

What should I search for, the xpdyinfo has more that 1000 lines and  the Xorg file has nothing special about GLX failure?

I've found theses Errors in the Xorg log file:

There is no other Xorg log file. Please avoid editing your posts in this way. We asked the Xorg log file and you post it before it was asked, making difficult for someone to follow the thread. The output of glxinfo you posted: is it the full output of it? It seems that the drivers do not support your card well. But can you try the modesetting driver. make a file named /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-graphic.conf with the following content:

It seems that your system use the nvidia openGL libraries which cause the failure. Remove all the nvidia stuff (pacman -Q | grep -i nvidia). Ensure that mesa is installed. Also, check afterwards the integrity of your system.

pacman -Dk
pacman -Qk | grep -v '0 missing files'
# Possibly
pacman -Qkk | grep -v '0 altered files'

Is your system fully up to date (pacman -Syyuu with a good mirror in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist)

Do a export LC_ALL=C before posting the output. Uninstall the nvidia stuff by force (pacman -Rndd). Then install mesa (I think you have already it) and recheck the integrity of your system at least with pacman -Dk. Install the missing packages (possibly with the --asdeps option). If package ask you for a choice; do not choose the nvidia one but mesa or the mesa related package. After ensuring there are no missing dependencies; please do a full check (see my previous posts). It seems that yopur system is not properly installed. How have you ended with missing dependencies? Have you used (abused) some of the force options of pacman?

First ensure that opengl is really working:

glxinfo | grep -i render

Then ensure that your system is sane:

pacman -Dk
pacman -Qk | grep -v '0 missing files'

pacman -Qkk | grep -v '0 altered files'

You seems to be careless with pacman. Have you overriden some pacman consistency checks while installing your system? What desktop you use? How exactly do you login? Have you created a regular user?
