Hi,
I'm a gnome 3.30 user.
with last mutter update : mutter 3.30.0-2 -> 3.30.0+13+g2fb3db765-1
I lost both display port monitors :-(
Setup :
- laptop with usb-C connected Kensington station (been working fine for one year)
- xps13 9360 for the records
- station --> monitor 1 on Display Port
- daisy chaining monitor 1 --> monitor 2 with mini display port
This worked fine.
With above update : screens are no more detected (with Wayland or Xorg. I mainly use Xorg)
xranr doesn't show them.
Reverting to mutter 3.30.0-2 solves the issue.
So, now, what sould I to to help having this fixed upstream ?
I didn't find any place with logs of what happens.
Apparently Xorg.log have disappeared, no idea where I can find logs.
dmesg doesn't show anything regarding monitors
And finally, should such a problem be reported to package maintainer or to gnome project ? I don't really understand the package naming ' 3.30.0+13+g2fb3db765-1' it looks like an unofficial build with a git sha-1 ... so maybe gnome project don't care.
I really would like to help but ... no idea how.
Best regards,
S

mutter-30.30.1-1 fixes it.
Is there a way to mar pacman upgrade to these apparently 'official' releases instead of getting the ones numbered like 13+b<git-sha-1> ?
