No games in Steam library after fresh install

I just installed the packages steam and steam-native-runtime on a fresh arch.
No matter if I use steam-native or steam-runtime, after I log in to my account, I have no games in my library!
I already looked at this, but that's Ubuntu and three years ago, so the described kernel issues are no longer relevant.

Since the issue of "New Steam library folder must be on a filesystem mounted with execute permissions" came up in the other post, here is my

No games in your library, or no games "installed"? The links you posted suggest the latter, but you also say this is a fresh install of Arch, and you don't have any other partitions listed in your fstab, so why would there be any games installed?

If it's the former, then make sure your library view is set to show all your games, not just the ones that are installed.

Thanks for the reply. Indeed, I have no games installed and I cannot install them since they are not listed. The dropdown menu when I hover over "Library" looks like this:

So there are 0 entries for "GAMES" ...

Are you signed into the correct account? Log into the steam store website and check your account profile there. If your games are listed there, then report a bug against the steam client. If your account is showing as empty on the web store, then get in contact with Valve support.
