Hey, I have a Lenovo Y720 with a GTX1060 using the proprietary nvidia drivers. To connect the laptop with a TV I use nvidia-xrun and start plasma via
nvidia-xrun plasmashell
which works nice, except that I cannot switch audio output to HDMI.
A search lead me to this.
When I run these commands in terminal
cat /proc/asound/cards
does show the Nvidia Audio device, but I then cannot run nvidia-xrun anymore.
Did anyone of you experience similar problems and managed to solve them?
Thanks in advance!

Are you knowingly running nvidia-xrun because you have a usecase that there are times at which you want to use the intel card and other times at which you want to use the nvidia card?
If not and you unconditionally want to run the nvidia card, remove nvidia-xrun and set up Optimus instead: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NV … ing_nvidia

Yes, I need it to be switchabel to use Intel for low power consumption on the go and Nvidia when I'm more stationary.
Edit: Would it be possible to have different xorg.conf files and two sddm entries, one for normal, one for Nvidia? Logging in and out isn't the problem in my use case.
