Polkik conflict widht packagekit-qt5

Hello,

I need to install packagekit-qt5 (for discover). But 'yaourt -S packagekit-qt5' output :

erreur : Transaction validation failed (conflit de fichiers)
packagekit : /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.packagekit.policy already présent in filesystem

'pacman -Qo /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.packagekit.policy' ouptut :

erreur : aucun paquet ne contient /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.packagekit.policy

However, I'm sur that polkit package contain this file. My system is almost clean : yaourt -Qdt does not return anything

Polkit (extra) polkit-qt4 (AUR) and polkit-qt5 ar installed on my system and seems to be used by number of apps as akonadi, etc...

What do you recommend ?

Please post all output in English. And post all of it, not just what you think is relevant.
CoC - Pasting pictures and code

Don't use yaourt for pacman operations, who knows what it's doing in the background.

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Thank you for your answer. I'm French and translate all messages from terminal 'on the fly'
How can I get terminal messages in native english ?

EDIT : I answer myself : export LANG="en_US.UTF-8"

Re: Polkik conflict widht packagekit-qt5

Why do you think the polkit package would own this file?

Check the metadata on the file to see what it is and when it was created/modified, maybe it will jog your memory or provide some hints on where it came from.

stat /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.packagekit.policy

Side note: the link Slithery directed you to tells you how to generate output in English. Please do read the links you are directed to.

You're wright. I confused with "/usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.policykit.policy" witch is owned by polkit.

[frederic@archlinux-fred ~]$ stat /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.packagekit.policy
  File: /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.packagekit.policy

[frederic@archlinux-fred ~]$

So, can I remove /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.packagekit.policy safetly ?
