I have a HP Omen laptop ax250tx dual booted with windows 10 1809 and arch. For quite sometime now whenever I lid down by laptop( which makes the device sleep ) and open up the lid the fans kicks in full speed and does not stop until I reset my bios to default settings or I turn on windows. Is their anything that I can do to make this problem stop? By the way, I've the latest bios update from the vendor as well as latest updates for arch and windows. I also tried the fan speed controlling apps likes fancontrol and NBFC, while fancontrol didn,t detect any fans and NBFC (using HP pavilion 14) profile was able to reduce the fan speed but the temperatures rose up about +15C.
PS - The fans are controlled by the bios but in windows they work just fine.
PS2 - If I missed giving any info please tell me about it.
