xfce-Power-Manager turns off Computer although Music is playing

Hi,

I'm using arch with i3 Window Manager.
Now Id like the computer to suspend after a certain time of inactivity and I started to use the xfce4-power-manager for that. It is good, easy to setup.

However when I play music (with mpd and/or spotify) or have a download going on it just suspends anyway.

The Question is how can I setup the xfce-4-pm to recognize activity like music and downloads. Or what's the alternative you guys use for it, that
just work. What would you recommend?

Thank you

You may be interested in some mechanism that checks for both CPU load and network activity. The aged sleepd supported this.
