Constant noise at boot with USB speakers (Bose Companion 5)

Hi,

I have Bose Companion 5 USB speakers. Sound works perfectly, but the speakers output a constant noise at boot.

My guess is that the device is not properly shut down, as it does not happen after rebooting from Windows, only from Linux.
If I then boot on Linux the constant noise stops during linux early boot stages. If I boot on Windows, it stops only when I play sound.

I'm using the "default" sound stack (PulseAudio with no customization).

This is not a regression, always had this issue with these speakers.

I am not sure what component of the software stack would be responsible for this ? Should I report it to the Kernel, ALSA, PulseAudio ?
