I bought a Ducky One 2, a mechanical keyboard which is supposed to support NKRO (ability to press more than 6 keys at once). It works fine on Windows (when you first plug in the keyboard it installs some drivers) but it doesn't work here on Arch Linux. Being very disappointed, I sent an email to the support center but their reply was very vague, saying they have no plans to release a firmware version for Linux.
That means unless they release a firmware for Linux I won't be able to have NKRO working? I know for sure other mechanical keyboards don't require any of these to make NKRO working. There are plenty of people that say other brands work fine on Linux out of the box.
I hope someone can help me finding a workaround if it exists... thanks in advance!

I have no suggestions, but I do have a question. Generally n-key rollover means that, if several keys are down at once, the key codes are generated in the sequence they were depressed as previously pressed keys are released. I thought most keyboards did that. Are you looking to be able to actively detect all keys that are down at a given point in time? Or the order in which they were pressed? Out of curiosity, what is the use case?
Edit: Oh yeah, Welcome to Arch Linux ![]()

I play Vertical Scrolling Rhythm Games (like O2Jam, you can search it on Youtube to understand) and I absolutely need the ability to press seven keys at once in order to play.
And thanks!
