First of all i think that the current amdgpu drivers aren't supposed to change correct? For some reason with my new card installed my TV that's hooked up via HDMI is cut off and black barred and squashed horizontally. When my system boots though in grub the same native resolution outputs fine 1360x768 60hz. I've tried messing with underscanning and scaling to no avail. I can get it to go full screen in 1280x720 the video doesn't look right it's difficult to explain. Here are some details to maybe help:

Something else I noticed is going on in my journalctl as well
[drm:atom_op_jump [amdgpu]] *ERROR* atombios stuck in loop for more than 5secs aborting

full output of lspci -knn , dmesg, journalctl -b and xorg log please.
edit: use a pastebin client for long logs
Which hdmi version does the TV support ?
Are you also transmitting audio over hdmi ?
Does booting with amdgpu.dc=0 as kernel parameter improve things ?

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
