[SOLVED] A notification stuck any program that runs it
Good morning,
i have a problem with my Arch+XFCE.
Since few days when any program runs a notification the program itself freeze for ~50 seconds.
time notify-send -t 2000 -u low "Apertura File Manager!" -i ~/Programmi/Desktop/Icone/file-manager.png
real 0m50,068s
user 0m0,014s
sys 0m0,007sI tried yo downgrade xfce4-notifyd but it didn't work.
Some one has the same issue? Could you help me?

dbus has a 25 second timeout, so your session bus seems to be not running?

That's the system bus, what's the output of
dbus-send --session --dest=org.freedesktop.DBus --type=method_call --print-reply /org/freedesktop/DBus org.freedesktop.DBus.ListNames

So the session bus is up, but nothing provides org.freedesktop.Notifications, ie. there's no notification server and either no dbus activated service or the service fails to run.
What's supposed to provide the notification service (some xfce applet?) and in case the answer is "no idea", try eg. https://www.archlinux.org/packages/comm … _64/dunst/

I manually launch the notification server of XFCE.
